چکیده

Isochronal late activation mapping (ILAM) was initially described in reentrant ventricular tachycardia to characterize the functional substrate responsible for arrhythmia propagation. Recently, this technique successfully applied atypical atrial flutter, but it has yet be prototypical arrhythmia: typical flutter (AFL). Our objective examine relationship between slow conduction cavotricuspid isthmus utilizing ILAM and presence of AFL. A cohort patients undergoing fibrillation (AF) AFL ablation at our institution with right atrium were included study. Right map performed by pacing proximal coronary sinus a cycle length 400 ms. Misleading long post-pacing interval after entrainment of typical atrial flutter from the cavotricuspid isthmus.

OBJECTIVES The purpose of this study was to evaluate the prevalence and mechanism of a misleading long post-pacing interval (PPI) upon entrainment of typical atrial flutter (AFL) from the cavotricuspid isthmus (CTI). BACKGROUND In typical AFL, the PPI from entrainment at the CTI is expected to closely match the tachycardia cycle-length (TCL). METHODS Sixty patients with confirmed CTI-depend...

Assessment of long-term quality of life after cavotricuspid isthmus ablation for typical atrial flutter

BACKGROUND Cavotricuspid isthmus (CTI) ablation is the treatment of choice in preventing recurrences of typical atrial flutter (AFl). However, little is known about long-term quality of life (QoL) after CTI ablation. METHODS AND RESULTS From 01/2003 to 05/2005, 94 patients who consecutively underwent typical AFl ablation were included in the study. An SF-36 health questionnaire was self-admin...

Electrogram polarity and cavotricuspid isthmus block during ablation of typical atrial flutter.

INTRODUCTION The atrial activation sequence around the tricuspid annulus has been used to assess whether complete block has been achieved across the cavotricuspid isthmus during radiofrequency ablation of typical atrial flutter. However, sometimes the atrial activation sequence does not clearly establish the presence or absence of complete block. The purpose of this study was to determine wheth...

[Quality of life differences in patients with typical atrial flutter following cavotricuspid isthmus ablation].

INTRODUCTION AND OBJECTIVES The aim of the study was to assess and measure health-related quality of life (HRQoL) changes in patients with typical atrial flutter following catheter ablation. The outcome was standardized and normalized to the Spanish population adjusted by age and sex. METHODS Ninety-five consecutive patients who had undergone cavotricuspid isthmus ablation were included. The ...

Effects of cavotricuspid isthmus ablation on atrioventricular node electrophysiology in patients with typical atrial flutter.

BACKGROUND The atrial musculature in the cavotricuspid isthmus is a part of posterior inputs to the AV node. In patients with typical atrial flutter, effects of radiofrequency ablation of this isthmus on AV node conduction are still unknown. METHODS AND RESULTS This study included 16 patients with clinically documented typical atrial flutter. Group 1 had 8 patients without and group 2 had 8 p...
